Other issues involve how animals are tested in the cosmetics industry. You can avoid all of this suffering simply by buying cruelty-free products and food that don’t contain animal products. Since most stories have tons of cruelty-free and vegan options, including gas stations and drug stores, this is just an easy swap that you can do for the animals.
Environmental reasons to go vegan
When you are eating and purchasing animal products, it put a strain on the environment. Also tons of CO2 and Methane is pumped into the air through animal agriculture. This causes a warming effect called Climate Change, which can be devastating over time. It also takes over 2000 pounds of water and 6 pounds of plant protein to make one single pound of beef.
Animal agriculture is also one of the biggest polluters of the air. The water, and the ground, with pig farms spraying waste over the neighboring area, which can make any residents in the area sick as well. If you want to reduce this impact on the environment, it is as easy as switching a beef burger for a veggie burger. Or asking for no meat on your burrito.
